If there’s one thing that I want my clients to realize, it’s that having a skilled attorney to help them with their estate plans will not only add value to their lives, but it will make life easier for their families.  My goal is to have each client leave my office feeling relieved and relaxed with the knowledge that they’ve made a well-thought out and thorough estate plan. Also, I strive to help them understand that estate planning is a lifelong process, not a onetime event to be rushed through when the time comes.

I grew up in Pittsburgh (go Steelers!), and earned a B.S. in biology in 1988, graduating Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Allegheny College, in Meadville, PA.  After graduation I soon realized that I wanted to pursue a career in law, and so I went to Duquesne University School of Law while working full-time as a molecular biologist for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. I graduated with my J.D. in 1994. I’m a member of The Florida Bar and was recently appointed as the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar Circuit Representative for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit.  I am also admitted to practice, but currently inactive, in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

My clients and their feelings, hopes and values are the most important aspects of my job. Over the past 14 years I’ve worked with so many different people and am really proud of the fact that they feel comfortable enough with me to call on me for help and advice. I really enjoy what I do and love living in warm and sunny, Key West, Florida. When I’m not working, I love traveling, reading and writing—in fact I was recently selected to be the About.com guide for Wills & Estate Planning and have written over 200 blogs and other articles for my guidesite.
